WELCOME TO THE II EDITION OF GOLF KITCHEN PUNTA MITA

Following the exciting and successful inaugural event in 2018 we are thrilled to Welcome back many of the Chefs and invite those passionate about Food , Golf & Unique memorable moments to come and participate in this event created in Paradise and features Guest Chefs from some of the most prestigious Golf Clubs and Resorts in the USA and Latin America.

Punta Mita’s own Executive Chef Pato Pérsico will be our host Chef for the event. Alongside him will be the Executive Chefs and teams from Sebonack Golf Club, Glenarbor Golf Club, Cassique at Kiawah Island Club, Sankaty Head Golf Club, Edgewood Country Club,Bosque Real Club in Mexico City and Garzon Club from Uruguay.

Our Golf Kitchen Chefs friends, Gaston Yelicich from Uruguay, Marcelo Pereyra from Argentina and Jose Carles from Puerto Rico , owners of well-known restaurants will join us too offering an incredible gourmet experience as a team!.

Together we will learn about the club’s history and have the opportunity to taste their club’s cuisine in a variety of exclusive culinary lunches, dinners and a gala dine-around tasting pool party as our finale complete with a silent and live auction towards local charities Peace and Fundación Punta de Mita.

The exciting journey over three nights and four days in and around Punta Mita will allow you to explore their world of Food, Chefs, Fine Wines, and Cocktails. Two-day Golf Kitchen Cup which will take place on both of our Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses – Bahia and Pacifico while there will also be a 4 hole shootout amongst the Chefs to kick off the event. You will enjoy getting to know these talented Chefs, and some may even inspire your culinary and golf horizons, because they play golf very well! This welcome dinner will pay homage to “The Cuisine of the Americas “with our Guest Chefs Michael Ruggiero, Damian Gilchrist, Joseph Klages and Doug Blair creating dishes for the occasion hosted by our own Chef Pato Pérsico. A spectacular dinner in the beautiful setting of the recently relaunched Pacifico Beach Club, where guest mixologists, live music and our house DJ will ensure this Golf Kitchen kicks off in grand style..

The Tail of the Whale Restaurant is renowned for its delicious breakfast specialties and over the course of the two days of the Golf Kitchen Cup you will have the opportunity to savor some of these specialties prepared by the Four Seasons Punta Mita culinary team.

Dine oceanside at Punta Mita’s trendiest spot, Sufito, as Uruguayan Chef Gaston Yelicich prepares a 3-course menu featuring his unique take on Latin American cuisine.

Dinner with Lalo Palazuelos

Tail of the Whale Breakfast

The Tail of the Whale Restaurant is renowned for its delicious breakfast specialties and over the course of the two days of the Golf Kitchen Cup you will have the opportunity to savor some of these specialties prepared by the Four Seasons Punta Mita culinary team.

Our Guest Chefs Michael Ruggiero, Damian Gilchrist, Joseph Klages, Doug Blair & Marcelo Pereira together with the Four Seasons culinary team will prepare a fabulous luncheon at this iconic venue on the Pacifico Golf Course. Enjoy the warm ocean breeze and views of the Pacific Ocean as fellow competitors complete their rounds to update the scoreboard, as we conclude Day 2 of the Golf Kitchen Punta Mita Cup and celebrate the winners of each category and challenge.

The beautiful Kupuri Beach Club will serve as our venue as guest chefs come together to bring us to Punta Mita the flavors of the Americas on what is sure to be an unforgettable dining experience. Take a culinary tour of the regions and styles of our guest chefs as they showcase their own culinary passions and inspirations – truly the perfect finish to a fantastic weekend in Mexico’s premier luxury resort destination. Our guest chefs Anthony Giacoponello, Jose Carles, Yasuo Asai, Tony Villanueva and Punta Mita’s Executive Chef Pato Pérsico and his culinary team will create an extraordinary 4-course menu to close this event in the proper way.

SUNDAY 28TH, APRIL

Golf Kitchen Brunch
10:00 a.m. | Pacifico Beach Club
Host Chef Pato Pérsico and his culinary team welcome guest chefs Marcelo Pereyra, Lalo Palazuelos, Gaston Yelicich & Ricki Motta as we “putt” this edition of Golf Kitchen to bed, bidding “hasta luego”, (see you soon), to old and new friends at the beautiful Kupuri Beach Club.

THURSDAY 25TH, APRIL

Golf Kitchen Chefs Cup
4:30pm | Golf Kitchen Chefs Cup – played over 4 holes. Come and enjoy watching our guest chefs shoot it out instead of a cook-off over 4 holes with a chef or 2 being eliminated each hole until only 2 chefs play for the Golf Kitchen Chefs Cup on the 18th hole of Pacifico.

The Golf Kitchen Cup Day 1
8:30am | Shotgun start – Two Man Scramble – Bahia Course

Breakfast will be served in The Tail of the Whale Restaurant while food and beverage stations will be strategically located around both courses.

Bahia Course – Two-person Scramble. The USGA recommends utilizing a 35% handicap for player “A” and 15% handicap for player “B” when playing a two-person scramble format. Player “A” being the lower handicap.

SATURDAY 27TH, APRIL

The Golf Kitchen Cup Day 2
8:30am | Shotgun start – 2 Man Best Ball – Pacifico Course

Breakfast will be served in The Tail of the Whale Restaurant while food and beverage stations will be strategically located around both courses.

Pacifico Course – 1 Best Ball of two players. Golfers play their own ball and apply their individual handicap to their score. The lowest score will be recorded. Scorecard will have dots to show what holes grant them strokes.

Individual Culinary Events

• Opening Cocktail at Pacifico Beach Club – $85 USD per person
• Dinner of your choice on Friday April 26th – $100 USD per person
• Closing Dinner at Kupuri Beach Club – $100 USD per person
• Brunch at Kupuri Beach Club – $45 USD per person

PEACE was founded in April 1, 2013 by a small group of Punta Mita homeowners who, as seasonal residents, recognized the need to help to improve the social needs of the three Punta de Mita area villages. The original founders have been joined by many generous seasonal residents in funding and governing the on-going operations of PEACE.

The FUNDACION PUNTA DE MITA was founded in 2007 and promotes the areas of Education, Health, Environment and Community Development. Built around the model of “community foundation”, its purpose is to strengthen civil society by building local, national and international alliances, offering grant opportunities, and providing capacity training and consulting to local organizations. Although the name Fundación Punta de Mita refers to its origin, it operates within the entire Bay of Banderas (Nayarit and Jalisco) thanks to valuable partner ships with other organizations, educational institutions and businesses whose focus is social responsibility.
