SELECTED CHARITIES

PEACE was founded in April 1, 2013 by a small group of Punta Mita homeowners who, as seasonal residents, recognized the need to help to improve the social needs of the three Punta de Mita area villages. The original founders have been joined by many generous seasonal residents in funding and governing the on-going operations of PEACE.

The FUNDACION PUNTA DE MITA was founded in 2007 and promotes the areas of Education, Health, Environment and Community Development. Built around the model of “community foundation,” its purpose is to strengthen civil society by building local, national and international alliances, offering grant opportunities, and providing capacity training and consulting to local organizations.
Although the name Fundación Punta de Mita refers to its origin, it operates within the entire Bay of Banderas (Nayarit and Jalisco) thanks to valuable partnerships with other organizations, educational institutions and businesses whose focus is social responsibility.
